It’s a track-oriented version of the McLaren 650S which will make its first official debut at the Geneva Motor Show 2015. The letters “LT” reflect the ‘Longtail’ design on the car, similar to those used on the McLaren F1 Longtail. Expected to slot in between the P1 and 650S, the McLaren 675 LT will be powered by a twin-turbo 3.8 litre V8 engine producing 670hp. The highly anticipated McLaren P1 GTR will also be launched at the show alongside the 675 LT. McLaren displayed prototype versions of the P1 GTR in various shows last year.
The Ferrari 488 GTB is the successor to the Ferrari 458 Italia, with significant similar design cues albeit different powertrains. The new Ferrari 488 GTB is more powerful and torquey than its predecessor thanks to its new 3.9 litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing 660hp and 760Nm of torque! It will be shown at the Geneva Motor Show 2015 alongside the 2015 Sergio Ferrari
Lamborghini Aventador SV
Spy shots of the upcoming Lamborghini Aventador SV went viral on the internet a few weeks ago after the highly anticipated supercar was spotted testing with zero camo. Built on the bloodline of previous Lamborghini models wearing the Super Veloce moniker, the new Aventador SV will continue the final production journey of the Aventador. We greatly hope to see it at the Geneva Motor Show 2015 as we await the official release details.
Porsche 911 GT3 RS
Porsche will use the Geneva Motor Show 2015 to reveal a handful of new models including the 2016 Porsche GT3 RS. The base Porsche 911 GT3 has had success despite the fire incidents that saw Porsche put a recall in place to solve the issue. The GT3 RS is expected to be the pinnacle of the 911 track-oriented models with reports indicating a possible new and larger naturally-aspirated six-cylinder engine.
The 2016 Porsche Cayman GT4 which was revealed recently will also show alongside the GT3 RS. The Cayman GT4 is track blend, a hardcore and lighter version of the Cayman with significant components borrowed from the 911 GT3. It’s powered by a 385 hp flat-six cylinder engine and is only available with a manual transmission.
SCG 003
It’s a supercar currently under development by the Scuderia James Glickenhaus racing team. It will be powered by a twin-turbocharged V12 engine and additionally there is a racing version called the SCG 003Cwhich will utilise a twin-turbocharged V6 engine lifted from the Acura RLX, albeit with increased power and a handful of racing technologies. The letter ‘C’ denotes Competizione
Its a new 1,073 hp electric supercar from the same company that showed us the Koenigsegg-backed Quant project. The new Quant F Electric Sportscar is capable of reaching a top speed of 300 km/h and it has an impressive driving range of 800km! The Quant F drivetrain features both all-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive capabilities where the front axle can be declutched to allow for rear-wheel drive configuration.
The 2016 Ford Focus RS was revealed late last month, Ford has been on a roll with new car debuts this year considering they have already launched four new models so far. This is part of a strategic plan to introduce 10 new cars by 2020 within the Ford Performance division. The Ford Focus RS comes shortly after the launch of the Ford GT, Ford Mustang GT350R, Ford Mustang GT350 and Ford F150 Raptor.
2016 Cadillac CT-V
Power will come from a supercharged V-8, most likely the 6.2-liter LT4 from the new Corvette Z06. It will make at least 600 horsepower and send the squawk to the rear tires through GM’s new eight-speed automatic.
2018 Nissan IDx
We believe that the world will always need affordable rear-drive excellence, and—shockingly, considering the efficiency-minded, regulation-restricted, and somewhat homogenized state of the industry—so do today’s automakers. The 10Best-winning Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ twins, unleashed for 2013, prove the staying power of the concept, and both Chevy and Kia have dipped a toe in the drip pan with their respective Code 130R and GT4 Stinger show cars. Now Nissan seems ready to party, too, having energized last fall’s Tokyo auto show with the surprise debut of two versions of theIDx concept.
Here’s the most important thing about the IDx: Nissan wants to build it. What could derail the entire project is that Nissan currently lacks an obvious platform for this car. Some adapted version of the Z-car’s bones could work, although that architecture would potentially bring too much mass to the IDx.
What the IDx is intended to do is get young adults to stop Snapchatting and start caring about and buying cars. (Or, at least, Snapchat about cars.) To capture youth—not just the demographic, but also its essence—the IDx concept draws some inspiration from a model more likely to be remembered by those kids’ elders: the classic Datsun 510 of the late 1960s and early 1970s. Fans of the 510, a sort of Japanese BMW 2002, will squeal at the upright three-box design and proportions and the wheels—as well as the NISMO version painted to resemble historic BRE 510 racers. Modern driveline tech, such as direct injection, places the car in the present. Nissan says the idea is more homage than retro, but the tie to the past is double-knotted by an Easter egg in the car’s name: DX is 510 in Roman numerals.
A U.S.-spec IDx likely would be powered by the naturally aspirated 1.8-liter four from the Sentra, as well as a 1.6 turbo four in a NISMO spinoff. Transmissions would include a CVT—this is a Nissan, after all—as well as, we hope, manual ’boxes across the range, including performance variants. Yes, that’s variants, plural. Nissan currently applies its hi-po badge in two strata, with NISMO models mostly getting mild upgrades (stickers!) and NISMO RS cars receiving more holistic go-fast makeovers. If the Juke can get an RS version, we see no reason why the IDx wouldn’t, couldn’t, or shouldn’t.
More formal and square-jawed than the Scibaru twins, the IDx is akin to the BMW 2-series coupe, only a lot cheaper. If Nissan gives it the green light, figure on the IDx arriving in 2017 and starting in the low- to mid-$20,000 range. If Nissan really wants to peddle something excellent, it will hawk the IDx in a whole mess of body styles that parallel the 510’s, which was available not only as a coupe, but also as a sedan and a wagon
